SHE SAID
2008, 11 minutes; 1 performer

Concept, Camera, Text, Video edited and performed by: Patricia Noworol
Music: Underworld “Confusion the Waitress”
Additional camera work: Antonio Mattaliano and Dan Kelly

She Said, Patricia’s first endeavor into cinematography, represents the tragic beauty of loneliness.
The film follows inner thoughts of a solitary woman. Questioning one’s importance in a socially chaotic world plunges this dark character into her own static world.  Mirror like camera angles, movements that explore the body, and layered images suggest she is not alone, but alone with herself.  Desperate reaches of the body convey a wish to escape this immutable torment. Exploring further in movement and locations she resolves her reality with one final leap.
