Time Out New York **** [FOUR STARS]
Circuits, provocative new piece!
If you already dig modern dance, Circuits will keep you hooked.

August 2009: Isabella Moschen , NYC

Circuits is an evening length piece that presents the multiple meanings and intricacies of the word “circuit” and how it applies to all aspects of life. There are several types of circuits that we deal with in everyday life; both those that we desire, and that which we must follow. But what happens when a circuit breaks? Seven dancers, including the choreographer, use personal experiences to expose and explore these ideas through intimate solos, athletic movement, and witty vignettes. The piece uses dynamic choreography and text, showcasing the unique personality and spirit behind each performer, and inviting the audience to consider just how deeply they are imbedded in their own circuits. It is also a reflection for audience members on what incredible lengths contemporary artists will go to in the hopes of finding success in their personal lives and career, amidst a difficult financial climate and mass competition.
